The most important point in this process:
"be aware of the end goal when starting the Revit project, for example clash detection requires different setup to time line scheduling which is again different to a standard Revit setup
Ensure all software and plugins are up to date. Revit to Sigma, Revit to Navisworks.”

Revit:
In Revit after starting a project go to Project Parameters and add a parameter called Type code, (if this isn’t already in your template).

When creating your model it should be drawn `as built` e.g. Walls should be split by their levels, as should curtain walls and floor slabs, so they can be labelled corresponding to a project schedule, (because in a schedule walls will be placed by floor and large floor slabs will be divided into a size that can be poured per day etc).

Sigma:
Begin to compile a project library for the current project using the relevant elements from V&S price books (or Spons, or your own), and adjusting them to suit your project (more insulation or whatever).

This library will be a very fluid document that will change and update as the project progresses. (The V&S library can also be used as is).

Revit:
Select an element in the project and go to the Add-Ins tab, select the Element Properties (Sigma) option in the Sigma Revit Integration tab.

Select the Type Code tab and then Setup to add the location of the Sigma library you saved earlier (or directly to the V&S book you want).

Then you can scroll through to the element that you have in the Sigma library then select that to attach the Type code to all elements in the project of that type.

When this is done for all the relevant components we then go to the Export to Sigma button on the Add-Ins tab and click on Export to Sigma (all the elements that have been Type Coded will correspond to an element in your Sigma library).

The following settings describe how we will have our Sigma project set up

Check which elements we are going to export depending on how detailed we want our cost and further schedule.
Also check in the units tab that any conversions from Revit to Sigma that are needed are listed e.g. 'pcs' in Revit is 'stk' in Sigma.

Then export the project...

Sigma:
The new project opens and we get this with our levels etc, but all prices are 0.
so we need to update the prices from our Sigma library we created earlier

This gives us the project price with the levels and detail that we choose to export from Revit which we can take down to individual elements within a wall or just a complete wall element.

Then we are ready to export to MS Project. Select file, export to, MS Project file.

And use again the settings to determine how much info we want to carry into project.

We choose 4 levels of detail which will give us the first 4 levels of the Sigma project as the setup for our project file.

MS Project:
We get from Sigma the list of elements and levels etc, but everything is starting on today’s date...so we get the tasks for free but need to update the schedule to fit our time and resource planning.

From this to this.

Then we add another column 'Text10' as above by right clicking on the column header bar and adding an ID column called 'Text 10'.

(this is not a requirement but it will make our linking work in navisworks a little easier.) the Text10 column is then filled with unique ID number or code for each process in our schedule and it is this column we use for reference in navisworks. Then save to a convenient location.

Navisworks Manage:
Back in Revit we go again to the Add-Ins tab and select Export to Navisworks ensuring we are in a 3D view and in the options ensure we have Metric and not Imperial selected then export to our chosen location.

revit to navis settings.gif
With Navisworks open we go to open and find the Navisworks file we exported from Revit and open it then we go to the Timeliner tab then the links tab right click and select add link and find our project 2007 file.

Ms project to navis.gif
Now you select Text10 under User 2 to get the wanted information from the MS project file.

Then you right click on the link and rebuild to task hierarchy from link.

Ms project to navis 1.gif

To make a search set you search for wanted items, like shown,
Then right click in selection set and adds current selection or search.

attach selection set dds.gif

To attach a selection set to the Timeliner (MS Project) right click the task you want to attach the Set and choose the Set under attach selection Set,
attach selection set.gif

Important for the Timeliner to be set to Task type to construct.

denlykke

Sigma add-in skal installeres seperat.

jeos-3

og hvordan gøres det?

Kontakt udvikleren på codegroup.dk

Teknologisk

jeos-3

Det er rigtigt. Fik den fra codegroup.
Tak for hjælpen

Super :-)

Hej Alle,
